Barbara Katz’s Bar Review Skills Course

Barbara E. Katz has been assisting Applicants in preparation for the Georgia Bar Exam since 1994. She offers a bar review course twice a year. The emphasis of the class is to assist Applicants in improving their writing skills in order to maximize their grades on the Essay and MPT portion of the bar exam.

Barbara taught Legal Writing, Research & Advocacy at Emory University School of Law from 1998-2004. She also taught in and administered a bar review course offered through Georgia State University School of Law from 1994-2006.
Barbara is a retired attorney whose practice areas included adoption law, assisted reproduction law, wills & estate planning and probate law. She represented individuals and families with a special emphasis on helping alternative families, such as single parents and same sex couples, as well as unmarried individuals with family of choice.
Barbara graduated from the City University of New York School of Law in 1992, and was licensed for the practice of law in the state of Georgia later that year. Her firm’s mission, “Law in the Service of Your Family’s Needs,” was adapted from CUNY’s own mission statement.
Barbara enjoys spending her free time with her wife and their two rescue dogs, Mollie the Mom and Benny her Pup. Her passions include bicycling, quilting, knitting and pickleball. She volunteers with the Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer on its volunteer crew.
